after a full meal we decided to stay inside the house versus trekking out to the studio which i neglected to turn the heat on in. sometimes you just make things work. we got the same affect i was looking for in these and we didn't even have to step out of the kitchen.

it's absolutely amazing to see how your body changes during pregnancy. i have to admit, after reese i was in shock and had a hard time reconnecting with my once capable body. it took a bit to get back into the swing of things but it eventually happened. i've learned quite a bit since then and that's allowed me to go with the flow even more so with baby number two. everyone keeps saying it, but this time really has flown by.

the first time around - some of my very favorite maternity photos were shot in this very same spot - on the wood flooring of our entryway. haha. i love to shoot in places that are familiar to a subject because it has that much more meaning and connection to them. the entryway of our home is where we welcome guests and pass through each day - it's part of who we are.

i love these images because they record who i am at this point in my life. the changes i'm experiencing and the growth - both personal and physical - that's taken place over the past few years. i'm not the only part of this story though, the next post will feature the other important members of the ever expanding Pelland family, miss reese and shaun. these were not the portraits i had in mind but they certainly do describe the family at this point - anyone with a three year old feels my sentiment. hehee.
