Here’s the story – each month of the last year their was a nominee, each nominee had a mini documentary made on them by an aspiring filmmaker, the films are now posted for voting and the winner will be determined by who has the most votes. The winner will then receive a $5,000 grant for their favorite charity which for me would go straight to our Stand Out Prom Scholarship Fund.
If you’re not familiar with Stand Out Prom, here’s the cliff notes on it: Our mission as women in the creative arts is to inspire, support and mentor young women of Pierce County by providing them with unique experiences and giving them the financial backing to pursue the artistic desires of their heart.

My documentary was created by Brent Christofferson of BlueRain Productions, a gifted young man whom I’m now proud to call a friend. Brent spent countless hours gathering footage at many events, directing interviews and editing his heart out. The product of his labor is a beautiful portrait of the things I love most in life – my family, community and art.
